Swimmers must meet all prerequisites and demonstrate mastery of the required milestones in earlier SwimSure™ levels before enrolling in advanced lessons. These prerequisites ensure swimmers already have strong foundational skills and are ready to focus on refining strokes, building endurance, and developing more advanced swimming ability.
Advanced swim lessons focus on developing strong swimming technique and endurance, which can help prepare swimmers who may later be interested in joining a swim team. While lessons are not designed as competitive training, they help swimmers build the skills and confidence needed to swim longer distances and perform strokes with stronger technique.
Advanced lessons focus on both technique and endurance. Instructors help swimmers refine stroke mechanics, breathing patterns, and body positioning while gradually increasing the distance and strength of their swimming. Improving technique helps swimmers become more efficient in the water while building endurance over time.
In advanced swim lessons, swimmers work on refining stroke technique and building stronger swimming ability. Depending on the level, swimmers may practice:
Freestyle and backstroke refinement
Breaststroke and butterfly technique
Stronger body positioning and stroke efficiency
Rhythmic breathing and endurance
Swimming longer distances with control
These lessons help swimmers become more confident, efficient, and capable in the water.
Advanced swim lessons are designed for swimmers who have already mastered the foundational skills in earlier SwimSure™ levels. At this stage, swimmers focus on refining technique, strengthening endurance, and developing greater control and efficiency in the water. Lessons help swimmers build stronger strokes while continuing to progress through Emler’s milestone-based curriculum.
Advanced Swim Lessons at SwimKids Swim School
SwimKids advanced swim lessons are designed for children who are comfortable in the water and ready to sharpen their skills. These classes focus on improving technique across all four strokes, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, while helping swimmers gain better control, stamina, and efficiency.
Lessons emphasize stroke refinement, proper form, breathing patterns, and smoother transitions between movements. Swimmers work on building endurance and consistency so they can swim longer distances with confidence. Instruction is tailored to each child’s ability, allowing swimmers to progress while maintaining strong fundamentals.
Classes are kept small and led by experienced SwimKids instructors who follow the SwimSure™ curriculum to ensure clear expectations and measurable progress. This structured approach helps swimmers prepare for future goals, whether that includes swim team readiness or simply becoming a more capable swimmer.
Advanced swim lessons at SwimKids help children strengthen their skills, build confidence in the water, and continue growing as well-rounded swimmers.
